Happy 35th!

Eric had one request for his 35th birthday.....to eat at The Melting Pot.  I had never been there before...and I was most definitely not dissapointed.  Because no "dinner out" would feel complete without our dinner date partners and dear friends, Dave and Beth, I made reservations for four...and boy did we celebrate.

The meal was amazing, and I am fairly sure that for the rest of my life I could eat bread dipped in cheese.  Like forever, forever.  We went for the turtle chocolate, which was melted chocolate, caramel, topped with pecans...so so so good.  I think I might have actually caught Beth eating it out of the bowl with a spoon :)

We came back to the house after dinner, feeling so stuffed and a little toasty with the wine we shared...he he.  Dave and Beth have never played Guitar Hero or SingStar...both games we have for Playstation (should I be embarassed for admitting that??)....so we pulled them out and had an absolute blast.  Beth and I were laughing too hard to actually make it through a song, but Eric and Dave were rockin' it!!

It was a wonderful night.  Happy 35 years to you, Eric.  I hope you had an amazing birthday.  Dave and Beth, thank you for sharing this night with us.  We wouldn't have wanted it any other way.  We love you.

Love her!

Friends for many years...
looking forward to many more...

Rockin' it!

Eric...showing how it's done!

Okay, a little over the top, babe.  You're not actually a rockstar.

rabbit trail:  check out my new painting!  My dear friend Anne, who is an amazing artist, painted it just for our living room, drawing all the colors together.  I'm in love with it!

oh, dear...now things are just getting wild.

and now...eric's playing the air guitar.
(and yes, that is a lighter in the bottom of the picture...beth thought it was only appropriate :)

needless to say...we had a lot of fun.
