i made it!

You Should Not Be Proud Of Me! I can't believe that it's almost February 1st and I am just now organizing our Christmas pictures into some kind of post. It was a wonderful holiday, filled with time with lots of family on both sides. We celebrated so many times I fear my children may have begun to lose some of the "spirit of the season." Hearing my daughter ask, "where are the rest of my presents" is not my shining moment as a mother. This will have to be evaluated next year...

So, in order....Christmas x 25,108 :)

#1-At Home!

Highlights of the morning: getting the long awaited dollhouse, the laughs and smiles over favorite toys, and just being a family.
#2-Papa Jay's House

we had a wonderful night, the kids were spoiled to death (as were we!), and I was blessed, as always, to be a part of this family.  The absence of Mama Deb was real and so painful sometimes we found ourselves all sitting in silence, just looking around, like we were waiting for her response.  I missed her laughter.  I miss her.  This was a difficult and wonderful evening.

#3-In Michigan!

The day after Christmas, we packed up the car and drove nearly 5 hours to Michigan to have Christmas with Eric's extended family on his mom's side.  KJ couldn't wait to see Sophie again, and the two were inseperable the moment we got there.  I had a lot of fun getting to see Megan again, love on Kaylee, talk with Grandma Great, marvel at what a large and amazing family I am lucky to be a part of!

#4 With Auntie MoMo

really there are no words to describe what it's like when melanie and eric and i get together with all the kids.  It's crazy...massive...mayhem and every single second is worth it.  Katie and Brady adore each other, I love her boys like they were my own and when the night comes to an end we have to tear our children apart like velcro.  We had a lot of fun, and the kids had a lot of fun celebrating with just each other.  I liked this, a lot.

#5 With Grammy Jodi

Yay for cousins, aunts, uncles, the best grammy jodi breakfast ever, and especially fairy princess barbies ;)

All in all, it was an incredible holiday season.  I am so grateful for EVERYTHING, and not just for the gigantic TV that now graces my living room, the new laptop I am typing this on, our new Wii (and especially Wii Fit Plus!!!!)...etc, etc.  I am so grateful for another year.  I'm grateful for happy kids.  I'm grateful for a man that loves me.  I'm grateful for my family...all of my family.

It's a month late, but better than never

merry christmas and all our love.
