quilt update #1

I'm making good on my promise and venturing on a new creative journey.
I'm making a quilt.  At least I'm trying to make a quilt.

I didn't think I did a horrible job on cutting the fabric, but I totally realize why I did not pass cutting in kindergarten (seriously, I didn't)...but the squares seemed fairly symmetrical.  The strips for the panel were not symmetrical at all, but I thought I could just get the fabric after sewing to make it look right....well I was kinda wrong.  But it's okay...I'm not freaking out, that's why this is my FIRST quilt...

I whined so much that I got a new sewing machine thanks to my amazing boyfriend who puts up with my ADD Creativity....I'm super excited to keep using it.  And...there is a fabric store literally two minutes from my house.  Lucky, lucky, lucky.

So I tried.
I'll let ya see the finished product, when it actually becomes finished, but for now proof that I'm learning

Maybe you can sew your own clothes too... and your curtains and bed linens. While you are at it you may want to pick up under-water basket weaving :)

Kidding. It looks like you are doing a fabulous job!

Remember that one time we started making a quilt and then decided pillows were more fun?
Haha. We need to work on the quilts again!!

Here's my idea - we use the massive amounts of money we have (hahaha) to rent an apartment where we CREATE ALL DAY!! We'll be etsy trillionaires! (I know, I know, more of a dream then an idea. *sigh*)

Thanks for being such an inspiration :)
